ABOUT SAM

While living in Italy in the early 90’s Sam’s passion for food was born. Sam just couldn’t get enough of the lifestyle;  the food was amazing, the people lived and breathed food,  the family get togethers were always food related and such an important part of everyone’s life.

Coming back to Australia and meeting Andrew Lolic, a local fisherman, who ran a small fish and chip shop in Hyde Park sparked the birth of Fish Out Of Water. Sam’s passion for Italian food helped her invent the much sought after Vicious Burger which John McGrath (Adelaide review) says is the only burger you can have a glass of wine with!  Amerik Singh, from the famous Jasmin restaurant, needs his fix of a Vicious Chicken at least once a week. The Fish Out Of Water salad recipes that Sam threw together are still in such high demand that people are lining up daily to enjoy a healthy bit of heaven that they know is so good for them.

Sam’s way of sharing her passion for food with family, friends and Fish Out Of Water customers has been through cooking amazing food for parties and events. Sam has decided to take this passion one step further through creating Sam’s Bit On The Side; with the central idea of teaching others to have fun with food, to not take it too seriously but enjoy the process of preparing and sharing food with their family, friends and colleagues.

Sam promises to take it to the edge and offer fun, hands-on classes to inspire everyone and get them cooking up a storm.
